Weekend plans

Evalin has obviously chosen her attire this weekend...Who would have thought that pj's and high heels were so comfy together!

Have you read them?  Addicting really...I plan to finish the second this weekend.

Evi's room preview.  Check out this adorable photographer's website.

It has been a long, eventful week, so I'm excited to relax, read, and hang out with the family.  Enjoy yours!

Dreaming of spring

We're getting there folks.  Daylight savings is just around the corner.  I am SO looking forward to later evenings and longer sunsets.  With spring comes a pair of these.  Which will you choose?

lovely florals

Unless you're from the Northwest, I'm not sure you can comprehend our "rainy season".  Let me tell you: it's long, it's dark, and it's wet.  My husband, who works in restoration, has been super busy with clients lately.  (You could say he's even happy with the weather forecast...)  I, on the other hand, detest the rain.  I spotted the above artist on Pinterest, and I have found myself revisiting her paintings throughout my dreary days.   You can view her lovely work here.   Enjoy!

How is your week going?  We're hanging in there ourselves.  Sometimes it feels like life is going WAY too fast.  Other times, I find myself bored, complacent,  and wishing for more.  Right now I'm learning the art of contentment.  My goal is to be present to the moment at hand, while also taking time to reflect daily on the blessings in my life.  I've been rereading "The Pursuit of God" by A.W. Tozer.  He wrote, "Complacency is a deadly foe of all spiritual growth".  Oh, the truth in that statement!  I hope I can take his words to heart this week.  I will be posting pictures of my room redo soon, but here is a little preview.  Stay tuned for the whole reveal.

Weekend recap

This past Saturday we headed to the Portland Children's Museum.  Since moving here four years ago, my kids have loved going to the museum.  Despite the age gap in our girls, there seems to be enough variety for them.  Our membership definitely comes in handy during the long rainy months.  Next time you're in Portland I hope you have a chance to visit this magical place!

This morning I happened to glance at the blog Ohdeedoh and come across a room very familiar to me.  I'm honored to have been featured on their blog!  Check it out here.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
